Policies
The UNL Libraries make loans and photocopies available to researchers at other libraries. We do not accept requests directly from individuals outside of the Lincoln area, but will gladly work with other libraries.
About Us
- GROUP AFFILIATIONS: OCLC, NEBASE, BTAA, ARL, NLA Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement, NEPU Union List, BIGU Union List, NE$A Union List.

- SCHEDULE:
- We are closed from approximately December 23 to January 2 each year.
- Federal document depository since 1907 (100% selection)
- State document depository since 1975.
Loan Rules
- BOOKS:
- 4 weeks (16 week for BTAA)
- Renewals usually granted if submitted by the due date
- MICROFILM:
- DVDs, CDs, SOME JOURNAL VOLUMES:
- No renewals
- 1 week use (+2 weeks shipping)
Collections
- NONCIRCULATING ITEMS:
- LPs
- Bluerays
- Games
- Microfiche
- Newspapers
- Archival/rare items
- Reference items
- DISSERTATION/THESIS LENDING:
- If a circulating copy is unavailable, you may recieve an electronic version.
- MICROFILM LENDING: Yes, except for archival/rare items
